Bingin is a left-handed reef break on the coast of Bali Bukit, Indonesia. On the right day, the ideal swell window runs from SSW–SW (200–235°); groundswell with periods around 11–17s gives it the most shape; the wave is comfortably workable up to roughly 10 ft on the face. Best winds are E or SE, with NE or SW still rideable. The wave is highly tide-sensitive - a small change in tide height can switch it on or off. The sweet spot in our data sits between roughly 0.4 m and 1.2 m of tide height. Consistency is moderate - good days come in pulses tied to incoming swells. Expect warm, boardshort-friendly water. Expect a packed, competitive lineup whenever it is on. Logistically, it is about 40 minutes from DPS airport. It is best suited to surfers with a few seasons of overhead experience who can pick their lines under pressure. Board-wise, locals lean on shortboard / grovel when smaller.
